What this website does, and does not, collect about the people who visit it.

The short version
This is a plain information website. It has no accounts to sign into, no forms to fill in, no payments, no newsletter and no advertising or analytics trackers. The city does not ask you for personal information through this site and does not build a profile of you from it.
Hosting records
The site is served by a commercial web host. Like every web server, it records ordinary technical details of each request — the address your request came from, the time, the page asked for and the browser used — so the site can be kept running and secure. The city does not use those records to identify individual residents.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
If you contact us
When you phone, email or write to City Hall, we keep what you send so we can answer you and so the city keeps a proper record. City records are subject to North Dakota’s open records law, so what you send the city may be a public record. Please do not email anything you would not want released, and never email a Social Security number, a bank account number or a password.

Pages here link to Dunn County, the State of North Dakota, utilities and community groups. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their privacy practices, not the city’s.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this page
If how the site handles information changes, this page and the effective date at the top of it change with it.
